the department has issued a notification for the recruitment of more than 10 thousand postal service posts across the country. the post of branch postmaster,assistant brach post master and dak sevak (postal service) will be recruited and a total of 2637 posts will be appoinetd in the karnataka circle.

educational qualification
candidates with SSLC or equilent qualification can apply for these posts. it is compulsory to study mathematics and enflish as a subject in SSLC. candidates should also have a prescribed qualification in the native language of their respective language of their respective states and have a 60 days computer training course certificate.
candidates need to be aware of two-wheelers.
age limit
candidates within the age group of 40 to 40 years can apply. schedule caste/schedule tribe candidates 5 years, OBC candidates 3 years,disabled candidates 10 years.
selection process
the selection process will be based on the candidates academic scores. if a candidate reads more,the SSLC score will be considered.
application fee
applicatin fee of rs 100 has been fixed for general,financially weaker and other backward classes. scheduled caste,schedule tribe and disabled candidates shall not pay any application fee.
salary
candidates selected for the post of branch post master will be paid rs 12000 per month and rs 10000/- to 12000/- for the candidates selected for assistant branch post master and postmasters.
